1972 Datsun 240Z

         

Currently working on a new motor with forged pistons and a ported and polished P-90 not P-90A. Bigger injectors (44LB), Paxton fuel pump, #8 and #6 fuel lines, Bigger turbo, new intake system triple 44mm HKS throttle bodies, Cartech Plenum and auto trans 4n71b to come.

Current engine specifications:

  • Estimated 300HP flywheel  @ 14PSI
  • Stock L-28 turbo motor with P90a head
  • T04 S-trim turbo, Turbonetics wastegate, HKS EVC
  • Air to air Bell Engineering intercooler and plumbing
  • Fully ported and gasket matched N-42 intake, Weber 60mm TB
  • Fuel management by Accel DFI, 38LB injectors, Bosh fuel pump
  • Spark/timing management DFI and MSD 6

Drive train

  • 82 280ZX non turbo 5-speed
  • 88 300ZX turbo R-200 limited slip 3.7
  • Centerforce II clutch

Suspension/Wheels

  • Suspension Techniques springs and bars
  • Tokico Illumina struts
  • Urethane bushing
  • 16 x 7 Riken mesh wheels
  • 225 50 16 rubber all around

Brakes

  • Front Toyota 4 x 4 calipers, stock rotors
  • Rear Stock except cast iron drums
  • Wilwood proportioning value
  • Jim Cook Braided hoses
